All the work
I undertake is guaranteed for 1 year. This does not relate to accessories
and appliances. The following examples provide some guidance in this
area:
The work that I undertake is of high quality and as part of the NIC EIC I have to make sure that my services are up to standard. But if any part of the installation I have worked on becomes faulty I will rectify the problem.
Peoples circumstances are different and if a fault does occur this will have to be looked at in more detail so a resolution can be made. If any appliances are to be installed they should be covered by its own warranty and remains the responsibility of the purchaser to make sure that appliances like ovens, showers, extractor fans etc are suitably covered. Similarly accessories like
switches and sockets cannot be covered as I am guided by the relevant standards
that relate to the accessory and therefore cannot, from my part, be guaranteed.
The guarantee
is an important aspect to my work. I want my customers to feel assured
that I am available at all times if any problems do occur. My reputation
is very important and I hope that my guarantee will provide this reassurance
to new and existing customers.
